Children’s Athletic Programs |
At Genesis we have long known that a child’s Self Confidence grows as his or her prowess in athletics increases. This increased level of Self Confidence extends to all aspects of the child’s life including academics. We specialize in cultivating a child’s physical abilities and throughly enjoy seeing a child achieve his or her goals whether it be general athletic development or a sports specific goal that will not only bring hours of enjoyment to the child, but may also be instrumental in gaining admission to a prestigious school someday.
While we are very result oriented, we are also mindful that the programs must be fun first! We NEVER push a child beyond what we think he or she is capable of handling either emotionally or physically.
Another issue confronting parents today is the ever growing problem of childhood obesity. As our society becomes increasing technologically advanced and oriented, computer and video grams have gradually replaced athletics as a source of recreation. The less active children are the less adapt they become at recreational activities of an athletic nature so they tend to avoid them. This, can lead to sedentary life style resulting in obesity that may carry on into adulthood. By improving a child’s athletic skill and physical condition their desire to participate in athletic / sports related activities also increases sharply decreasing the incidence of child obesity. We also provide party services to enhance birthdays and other occasions. Our Karate parties are always a big hit. Each child gets to participate in an introductory lesson, games and gets their own “karate headband” and plastic “nunchaku sticks” to wear and keep.
